Pit Molling   |  biography<\/p>\n

Born in Luxembourg in 1984 and a graduate of the FADBK in Essen, Pit Molling uses FDM (fused deposition modelling) 3D printing to capture the universal aesthetic structure of the world in digital form, in order to reproduce it in real life. With an interest in the evidence of digital art, Pit Molling questions the veracity of the virtual world through art, seeking to resist current trends towards impersonal, light-hearted and amusing art by refusing to reduce his work to a mere consumable cultural product.<\/p>\n

 About the artist:    „Pit Molling’s work never lacks refinement or character. The skin of his 3D prints is often reminiscent of finely woven textiles, fixing the modernity of the technique in our own context and everyday life. These different textures catch the light and endow the sculptures with great strength and palpable mobility. The artist is not averse to referring to forms of classical modernism, particularly those of organic sculpture. Herein lies the intelligence and interest of Pit Molling’s approach: bringing together natural forms and the technology of 3D printing to create a symbiosis between traditional inspiration and modern craftsmanship“.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pit Molling, geboren 1984 in Luxemburg und Absolvent der FADBK in Essen, verwendet FDM-3D-Druck (Fused Deposition Modeling), um die universelle \u00e4sthetische Struktur der Welt in digitaler Form zu erfassen und sie im echten Leben zu reproduzieren. Mit seinem Interesse an den Beweisen digitaler Kunst hinterfragt Pit Molling die Wahrhaftigkeit der virtuellen Welt durch Kunst und versucht, aktuellen Trends zu unpers\u00f6nlicher, unbeschwerter und am\u00fcsanter Kunst zu widerstehen, indem er sich weigert, seine Arbeit auf ein blo\u00dfes konsumierbares Kulturprodukt zu reduzieren.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201ePit Mollings Arbeiten mangelt es nie an Raffinesse oder Charakter. Die Haut seiner 3D-Drucke erinnert oft an fein gewebte Textilien und fixiert die Modernit\u00e4t der Technik in unserem eigenen Kontext und Alltag. Diese unterschiedlichen Texturen fangen das Licht ein und verleihen den Skulpturen gro\u00dfe St\u00e4rke und sp\u00fcrbare Beweglichkeit.<\/p>\n

Der K\u00fcnstler ist nicht abgeneigt, sich auf Formen der klassischen Moderne zu beziehen, insbesondere auf die der organischen Skulptur. Darin liegt die Intelligenz und das Interesse von Pit Mollings Ansatz: die Zusammenf\u00fchrung nat\u00fcrlicher Formen und der Technologie des 3D-Drucks zusammen, um eine Symbiose zwischen traditioneller Inspiration und moderner Handwerkskunst zu schaffen.\u201c<\/p>\n
