Gega Paksashvili\u00a0 |\u00a0 biography<\/strong><\/p>

Born in 1963 in Tbilisi, Georgia.<\/p>

Education:<\/p>

Tbilisi State Academy of Arts \/Printmaking and Drawing.<\/p>

Graphic artist, muralist and \u00a0book designer, Gega Paksashvili graduated from the faculty of\u00a0 graphic art at \u00a0the Tbilisi \u00a0Academy of Art, where he had mastered his art under\u00a0 the guidance\u00a0 of\u00a0 Dinara Nodia, Dea Jabua, Dmitry Eristavi and Sergo Kashkhiani. From his student years, he was actively engaged in set designing both in Tbilisi and Moscow theatres as well as in Georgian \u00a0regional theaters. \u00a0He designed sets for\u00a0Yetim Gurji<\/em>\u00a0at the Akhmeteli Theater (Tbilisi), rock opera \u00a0Treasure Island<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0at the Stanislavsky Theater (Moscow),\u00a0Babajana\u2019s Cloggs<\/em>\u00a0at the Tbilisi Puppet Theatre and many other performances.<\/p>

In a period of time between 1989 and 2016, he participated in seventeen group exhibitions held both in Georgia and various European countries.<\/p>

In 1994, his first solo exhibition was organized at the Georgian National Gallery, which\u00a0 was\u00a0later\u00a0followed by another solo shows \u00a0in private galleries:\u00a0Baia Gallery and\u00a0\u00a0I-Art\u00a0Gallery<\/em><\/p>
